In a world where all of us have confined ourselves to imaginary cages being governed by society, it’s rare to see someone live life on his/her own terms. However, such people exist, and here is an example.

An Indian man Gaurav Arora, who made fans when he appeared on reality show Splitsvilla in season 8. He was one of the very few people who confessed to being a bisexual on national television. He has undergone a sex-change operation, and now he is Gauri Arora. Now, he is gearing up to walk the ramp for a TV show—India’s Top Model, reports The India Times.

Talking about his journey and life after transition, he told Mumbai Mirror,  ‘I felt extremely beautiful. I was a tad apprehensive about the fact that I had to put on a bikini and walk down the ramp in front of seasoned judges but that only made my resolve stronger. It takes a lot of courage to accept the reality and come out in public. A lot of people out there already know about my struggle. I hope my stint on the show gives courage to a lot of people.’
