To get a govt job in this Indian State, you must know who’s Baba Ramdev’s guru

Questions appearing in India’s Haryana Government’s recruitment exams have come under fire from candidates and activists who have objected at the relevance of questions such as, ‘Who is the guru of Baba Ramdev? Where is the dera of Kali Kamali Baba located in Haryana? On which part of the body is the ornament ‘Chalkada’ worn?’
The examinations are aimed at recruiting candidates to the posts of police constable, clerk, food sub-inspector, patwari (revenue official), and statistical assistant and even pump operators, reports timesnownews.com.
Objections have been raised at the logic behind the questions with some critics going as far as saying that such questions convey the situation of education in the state, reported Indian daily Indian Express.
The spokesperson for the ruling BJP in the state, Raman Malik, justified the unconventional questions saying that they were related to the social fabric of the state that should be known by the aspirants. The candidates must be sensitive and aware of diversity in society, he added.
