Bride, groom exchange snake garlands

A bizarre incident from 2010 involving snakes went viral again on networking sites, and people were perturbed to see umpteen YouTube handles sharing the old clip.
A bride and groom—Siddharth Sonavane, and his fiancee Shrusti Ausarmal around seven years back — exchanged snake garlands during their wedding ceremony on November 12, 2010, in a remote village of Beed district in Maharashtra, reports the Indian Express.
Skipping the customary flower garlands, the couple chose deadly snake garlands and wrapped it around each other’s necks without flinching for a moment. Reportedly, the two are local wildlife department employees, who reside in a remote district of the state. Buzz is also that the snakes were let loose briefly after the ceremony got over.
