An 8-year-old girl was brave enough for her age when she saved her two-year-old brother from a raging cow.

The video of a girl saving her little brother in Karnataka’s Navilagon village in Honnavar taluk on Tuesday has gone viral on social media, reports the DNA.

Arati showed her presence of mind when a raging cow came right towards her brother as she was playing with him. In the video, Arati picks up her brother as the cow approaches  in full force and moves into a corner. However, the cow followed with its horns all blazing and comes close to the boy as she tightly holds onto her brother and quickly jumps towards another side confusing the animal. She screams as she tries to get rid of the cow but does not lose her calm and continues to fight back.

After hearing her screams, her family members rushed to the spot and tried to chase away the cow. Arati then secure her little brother as she takes him inside their house. Her brave act was captured in the CCTV that was placed in her father’s jewellery shop.

Arati said she barely had time to think during the incident and her only thought was to save her dear brother. She was playing with her brother and pushing her brother on a tricycle when the incident happened.

‘I had no time to think. At that moment, my only aim was to save my brother. Thank God, he escaped unhurt,’ Arati was quoted as saying by the Times of India.
