Certainly, we all love to catch a glimpse of a rainbow, beautifully covering the sky in an arc. But, have you ever seen a rainbow like flames of a fire? Well, the extraordinary phenomenon is known as a circumhorizontal arc.
Yes, the fire rainbow seen amid clouds is caused by sunlight when it shines through little ice crystals suspended in the atmosphere, reports the Indian Express.
On such big fire rainbow wowed residents in Chiang Mai province in northern Thailand. Onlookers took to social media platform to share stunning images and videos of the rainbow and people were taken by surprise.
One such resident, Morgan Chakkaew, 35, captured the footage while he was working last week in the Doi Saket district of the region. Talking to the Daily Mail, he said: ‘It was a beautiful sight. It’s not something I’ve seen before and it’s not something I think I’ll see again.’
