Finally, TVC shows that women do bleed red (not blue!) during periods

Menstruation, a perfectly normal bodily function in women, is almost always treated as a taboo.
Most girls, conditioned as they are, talk about it in euphemism among their female counterparts and often refuse to utter the word when in front of boys.
This hesitation to address the issue is also reflected in the way it is represented. Different brands of sanitary napkins in their advertisements, replace blood with a blue liquid, reports the Indian Express.
As absurd it might sound this indeed is the norm and reality. Deviating from it and refusing to dilute the reality, Bodyform, a brand of feminine hygiene products in the United Kingdom, in their advertisement has depicted things how they are.
Women do bleed during menstruation and the colour of blood, as well know, is not blue.
