Video: ‘Rubber boy’ can twist his head about 180 degrees

An Indian teenager has stunned locals with his extremely flexible body that allows him to rotate his shoulders at 360 degrees and neck by 180 degrees.
Yash Shah, 19, from Surat in the western Indian state of Gujarat has an extremely flexible body.
He can rotate his torso by 180 degrees, hands and legs by 360 degrees and can also squeeze his body through a tennis racket, reports the Story Trender.
Yash, who studies software engineering, says: ‘I have an extremely flexible body.
‘I’m capable of rotating my head by 180 degree and look backwards. I can rotate both my hands and legs by 360 degrees and can move my shoulders at any angle.
‘I can rotate my torso by 180 degrees. Also, I can I can bend my fingers backwards upto 180 degrees.’
Born to parents Vrajesh Ramlal Shah, 45, and mother Kamini Vrajesh Shah, 41, Yash was inspired to practice the extreme body-bending skills by watching famous American contortionist Daniel Browning Smith.
Yash said: ‘Daniel Browning Smith is my inspiration. I started practicing contortion skills after watching his videos on youtube.
‘I started following him the moment I saw his acts.’
Yash, the only child to his parents, practises daily for at least three hours. He said he never took help from any coach rather learnt everything on his own.
Yash Said: ‘I never had any coach to help me practise. I learnt everything on my own while watching videos from Youtube.’
‘My family is very supportive. They encourage me and never asked me that I should stop doing these acts. My grandfather used to watch me practising for hours like a coach and make sure that I learn all the acts properly.’
His flexibility and body bending abilities have stunned people in his home town, earning him a nickname – RUBBER BOY.
Yash’s mother Kamini Vrajesh Shah, who works as a teacher, says his son’s flexibility is God’s gift.
Kamini says: ‘I feel proud of my son that he is different from others. I feel proud that unlike others he can turn his body in any direction.’
The unique bendy techniques has never caused any harm to Yash.
He said: ‘I have never had any injury while performing these acts. I know how to control my body and protect myself from any injury.’
The teenager has already won few awards but now he has his eyes on Guinness Book of Records.
‘I want to become famous worldwide and make my country feel proud.
‘It is my dream to get my name registered in the Guinness Book of Records. I’m practising very hard for it,’ Yash added.
