361 BNP-Jamaat men sued over Noakhali Jubo League man murder
Noakhali: A case has been filed against 361 leaders and activists of BNP and Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami over the murder of a Jubo League leader in a pre-election fight between the supporters of Awami League and BNP at Eojbalia in Sadar upazila.
Eojbalia union Jubo League joint convener Ariful Islam Sumon filed the case on Wednesday night mentioning the names of 361 leaders and activists of BNP and Jamaat and some other unidentified ones, said Md Anwar Hossain, officer-in-charge of Sudharam Model Police Station, on Thursday, reports the UNB.
Earlier, police arrested six BNP men from different areas of Sadar and Subarna Char upazilas on Wednesday over the murder.
Mohammad Hanif, general secretary of ward-8 unit of Jubo League in Eojbalia union, was killed in a pre-election fight between the supporters of Awami League and BNP over electioneering at Eojbalia in Sadar upazila on Tuesday.
