Bangladesh student obtains gold medal for academic excellence in US
Dhaka: A Bangladeshi meritorious student - Prottyue Parna Barua - has been elevated to International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme with ‘gold medal’ from David Starr Jordan High School, a public high school in Long Beach, California, USA.
She is the youngest daughter of Foreign Ministry official Manik Ranjan Barua and Nila Barua, said a press release on Friday.
The IB Programme is recognized and respected by colleges and universities worldwide. The Programme offers university-bound students the opportunity to participate in an internationally recognized honours programme.
Parna Barua, who was born in Poland, sought blessings from all so that she can become successful in her career and contribute to her country upon completion of her studies.
