Take teaching as holy mission, Nahid asks teachers
Dhaka: Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid has urged teachers not to take teaching as mere a job, but as a holy mission for building the nation.
The minister came up with the call while addressing a function of Shamsul Haq Khan School and College at Matuail in the city on Saturday.
The institution arranged the function to accord reception to its meritorious students, said a handout.
Nahid said the country’s teachers have the most important role to play in advancing the nation by providing world-class education to their students.
The students are now facing hurdles to cope with the newly introduced creative system, he said, a number of programmes are being implemented to help the students adjust with the new system.
‘We’ve been able to overcome the problem to a great extent with the cooperation of all concerned,’ Nahid added.
He hoped that the teachers will play a more devoted role in classrooms so that their students need not go to coaching centres, which is a serious burden for poor guardians.
