Dhaka: National University authorities have withdrawn lawmakers of Mymensingh’s Trishal and Gaibandha’s Sundarganj constituencies MA Hannan and Manzurul Islam Liton respectively from the governing bodies of different colleges.

Hannan was arrested for his alleged crimes against humanity in the War of Liberation in 1971 while Liton shot a child recently.

The NU authorities withdrew them from the colleges’ governing bodies for these reasons, an official release said on Monday.

Hannan was withdrawn from Nazrul College of Trishal while Litan was called off from Dhubni Kanchibari College, Sundarganj Mahila College and Sundarganj DW College governing bodies.
