Sylhet: The admission process for the Bachelor’s courses at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) for the 2015-16 session will begin on 13 October.

Aspirant students can apply for admission from 13 October to 30 October through SMS from prepaid Teletalk mobile phone.

SUST Admission Committee convener Professor Dr Narayan Saha announced the decision at a press briefing held at the university academic building on Monday afternoon.

The students are required to have a total GPA score of 6.5 in SSC and HSC exams to apply for sitting for the ‘A’ unit admission test, while GPA 7 for ‘B’ units -- B-1, B-2, B-3 and B-4.

On the other hand, the students for O-level of GCE will have to pass five subjects with at least three subjects with ‘B’ grade while A-level students of GCE have to pass three subjects with at least two subjects with ‘B’ grade.

The admission test of "A" unit will be held at 9:30am on 14 November while that of "B" unit at 12:30pm on the same day.
