Dhaka: Two candidates under same roll number were held during the entrance test of Dhaka University under ‘Ga’ unit, or the business faculty, on Friday morning.

The written test for admission into first year Honours courses of the business faculty for the session 2015-2016 began at about 10:00am and concluded at about 11:00am.

This year, a total of 43,234 candidates competed for 1,170 seats under the unit.

The candidates are Sanjay Kumar, and Mehedi Hassan.

They were taken to the university acting proctor Amzad Ali’s room.

Amzad Alia said the examination was held without any unavoidable incidents at 56 centres, 46 on the DU campus and 10 in other schools and colleges.

Two candidates were held as faults were found on their admit cards. Both of their admit card are carrying same roll numbers, said the acting proctor.

He said, the authorities concerned are working to find out whether it was a forgery or not.

The DU authorities banned electronic devices and high-tech gadgets to avoid forgery and question-paper leak.

On 9 October, the entrance exam of the university under ‘Kha’ unit was held while the written exam of ‘Cha’ unit was held on the next day, 10 October.

Results of both of the units have published recently.

However, the examinations under ‘Ka’ unit will be held on 30 October and that of ‘Gha’ unit will be held on 6 November.
