Dhaka: Detectives in their separate drives in different areas of Dhaka city on Friday detained 12 people on charges of selling ‘question papers’ for entrance into Dhaka University (DU).

The arrestees could not yet be identified.

A team of the Detective Branch (DB) conducted separate drives at different parts of the capital from Thursday afternoon till early Friday and arrested them for providing students with some questions for ‘Ka’ unit admission test of DU in exchange of money, said deputy commissioner (media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Muntasir Islam.

The entrance test for first year honours courses under ‘Ka’ unit of the University for session 2015-2016 is being held on Friday.
