Dhaka: Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations-2015 will begin across the country on Sunday with the participation of 23,25,933 examinees.

As many as 23,25,933 students from 28,632 educational institutions will appear in this year's examinations, the Education Ministry sources said.

The number of JSC examinees is 19,67,447. Of them, 9,14,900 are males while 10,52,547 females, they said adding a total of 3,58,486 examinees will participate in the JDC examination this year. Among the JDC students, 167,770 are males and 1,90,716 females.

A total of 585 students from eight overseas centres will appear in the JSC examinations this year.

The number of JSC and JDC examinees increased by 2,35,241 this year as 20,90,692 candidates took part in the exams in 2014.
