CU admission tests begin tomorrow
Chittagong: The admission tests for the first-year bachelor courses under 2015-16 academic session of Chittagong University (CU) will begin tomorrow (Sunday).
The admission tests of Science Faculty under Unit ‘A’ and Institute of Forestry and Environmental Sciences under Unit ‘J’ will be held on the first day, said Deputy Registrar (Academic) and Admission Committee Secretary SM Akbar Hossain.
According to a BSS report, a total of 2,11,952 admission seekers submitted applications against 4,653 seats available under eight faculties with some 46 competing for a seat this year.
The Faculty of Engineering under Unit ‘G’ will witness the toughest competition where a total of 23,444 admission seekers will vie for 128 seats.
All classes will remain closed during the admission tests, a CU press release said.
The university authority has already completed brisk preparations to hold the admission tests in a free and fair manner and has rescheduled the timing of the university shuttle train to ensure the presence of the admission seekers on the campus.
