CUET closed following BCL infighting
Chittagong: Authorities closed the Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) for an indefinite period on Monday following a clash between two factions of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) on the campus.
The male students have been asked to vacate their dormitories by 5:00pm on Monday while the female ones by 10:00am on Tuesday.
Pro-vice Chancellor of the university Rafiqul Alam said seven BCL activists were injured in a clash between two factions of BCL on the campus in the morning.
Three of the injured were taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
After the clash, the CUET authorities declared the university closed for an indefinite period.
