Rajshahi: Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology bachelor’s entrance examinations are going to start on 10 December, said a university press release on Tuesday.

On Thursday, the qualified students from 1st position to 780th in merit list of ‘KA’ group while in ‘KHA’ group from 1st position to 30th will be admitted.

List of admission-related procedures and other necessary documents have already been made public in a notice and on www.ruet.ac.bd website. All the admission seekers and others concerned were requested to get the information with his or her own responsibility.

Result of the entrance test was published on 17 November. In the current session, a total of 815 students will be admitted in 12 departments including two newly opened ones.

The new departments are: Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) and Chemical and Food Process Engineering (CFPE).

ECE has been included in Electrical and Computer Engineering Faculty.  This department will start its journey amid admission of 60 brilliant students. It is expected to become capable of generating skilled human resources in the field of ICT.

Meanwhile, CFPE has been incorporated in the faculty of Mechanical Engineering which is set to begin its journey through admission of 30 talented students in the current year. It is also expected that the department will play an effective role towards producing competent manpower in the field of food processing in the country.
