4 NSTU students suspended for harassing female teachers
Noakhali: Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) authorities have suspended four of its students for harassing four female teachers of the university.
The action was taken against Mahmudul Hasan Mamun, a ninth batch student of the Economics Department; Khairul Bashar Biplab, a 10th batch student of the Agriculture; Shaheen Alam Swadhin, a 10th batch student of the Applied Mathematics; and Sabuj Islam, a 9th batch student of the Information and Communication Engineering Department of the university, reports UNB.
NSTU Proctor Musfiqur Rahman said the students were also served show-cause notices asking them to explain within seven days why they would not be expelled from the university.
Besides, a case will be filed against them, he said.
University sources said the four students misbehaved with the four female teachers and harassed them on the campus on Friday afternoon.
