Dhaka: The government has given approval to two more private universities.

The universities are Khulna Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah University and Ahsania Mission Science and Technology University, reports the UNB.

Of them, Khulna Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah University is situated at Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah Road at Chhoto Boyra in Sonadanga of Khulna while Ahsania Mission Science and Technology University at Talaimari of Kajla in Rajshahi.

With this, the number of private universities in the country stands at 98.

Dhaka Ahsania Mission President Kazi Rafiqul Alam has founded the two universities.

Rafiqul Alam is also the founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology.

Sources of the Education Ministry said the universities got temporary approval under section 36 and sub-sections 1 and 2 of section 7 of the Private University Act-2010 tagging 23 conditions.
