Dhaka: Pabna University of Science and Technology Vice-Chancellor Al-Nakib Chowdhury met President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Sunday.

During the meeting, the VC apprised the President of the university activities.

President's press secretary Joynal Abedin briefed reporters after the meeting.

Al-Nakib said the university has taken an initiative to produce light-engineering machinery using local technology in its laboratory.

President Hamid asked the university authorities to take steps so that small machinery can be produced in the country.

He also asked the authorities to take necessary steps to ensure the quality of education.

Secretaries concerned to the President Office were present.
