Dhaka: The Secondary School Certificate and equivalent examinations, scheduled for 8 March and 10 March, were postponed due to fresh spell of countrywide hartal enforced by Bangladesh Nationalist Party-led 20-Party Alliance.
Education Ministry deputy chief information officer Subodh Chandra Dhali confirmed this.
The new timetable for the postponed examinations will be announced later, the officer added.
Earlier on 4 March examinations were postponed due to hartal and the new date for the examinations yet to be set.
In a statement, BNP joint secretary general Salahuddin Ahmed, on behalf of the alliance, announced fresh spell of 72-hour countrywide hartal from 6:00am Sunday alongside its ongoing countrywide indefinite transport blockade to push for its various demands, including a fresh national election under a non-party administration.
