Sylhet: Teachers and Students of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) on Monday observed the Pi Day through various programmes.

University’s Mathematics Society took out a procession on the campus at 12 noon.

Following the procession, they also held a rally, where the speakers emphasised the need for observing the day with a view to exploring use of mathematics in everyday life.

Mathematics department chairman Anowarul Islam, professors Rashed Talukder and Sajedul Karim addressed the rally.
