Chittagong Veterinary University closed indefinitely
Chittagong: Authorities closed the Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) for an indefinite period on Tuesday following a clash between two groups of students over playing cricket on its campus in the city’s Khulshi area.
The male students have been asked to vacate their dormitories by 3:30pm while the female ones by 10:00am on Wednesday, reports UNB.
CVASU Deputy Director (PR) Khalilur Rahman, said 5-6 people were injured in the clash between the students of Veterinary Faculty and Fisheries Faculty of the university over playing cricket on the campus at noon.
One of the injured was taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
After the fight, the CVASU authorities declared the university closed sine die.
