Dhaka: A group of Jagannath University students vandalised several buses in front of the university on Tuesday.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police assistant commissioner (Lalbagh zone) Saleh Mohammad told UNB that a group of students of the university blocked a road in front of the university at about 11:30am and vandalised 5-7 buses.

Later, the traffic returned to normalcy after police brought the situation under control, he said.

The students went on rampage following an altercation between some JnU students and a bus driver in Phulbaria in the capital on Monday, the police officer added.
