HSC exams postponed for city polls
The Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations, scheduled for 26, 27 and 28 April, have been postponed due to dates clash with the City Corporation Election.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid on Sunday made the announcement after holding a meeting over law and order situation during the HSC examinations.
Education boards chairmen, Education Directorate director general, representative from Home Ministry and senior officers of law enforcers were present during the meeting, started at 11:00am and continued till 12:15pm.
Examinations on Civics and Good Governance, Biology, Business Entrepreneurship and Practical Management, Finance, Banking and Insurance, and English Short Hands were scheduled to be held on 26 April.
Moreover, Agricultural Studies, Statistics, and Higher Engineering Drawing and Survey examinations under Technical board were timetabled for 27 April while Psychology examination was fixed to be held on 28 April.
However, the new examinations dates have not been announced yet.
Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations will be started from 1 April 2015.
Education Ministry in its website made the schedule available.
On the first day, students will take Bangla first paper exams, which will begin at about 10:00 am and will continue till 1:00pm.
The theoretical examinations will continue till 11 June 2015 while practical examinations take place from 13 June to 22 June in 2015.
