SSC exams further deferred
The education ministry has brought a change in timetable of the Secondary School Certificate and equivalent examinations due to extension of ongoing hartal imposed countrywide by 20-Party Alliance.
Wednesday’s examinations will be held on Saturday, however, Friday’s exams to be held as per the schedule.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid made the announcement in a press briefing at the Secretariat in Dhaka on Tuesday.
In a statement, BNP joint secretary general Salahuddin Ahmed, on behalf of the alliance, extended its ongoing 72-hour countrywide hartal by 36 hours till 6:00pm on Thursday as part of its movement for what it said resorting democracy and people’s right to vote.
Now the shutdown that began at 6:00am on Sunday will end at 6:00pm on Thursday.
