Question paper fiasco in DU ‘Ga’ unit entrance test

Dhaka: The question papers, provided by Dhaka University authorities during the entrance test of ‘Ga’ unit for session 2016-17 on Friday, contain 99 questions instead of 100.
‘Ga’ unit entrance examination committee’s convener, Professor Shibli Rubaiyat Islam, also the Dean of Faculty of Business Studies, said all of the candidates will get an extra mark as the paper lacks a question. The decision of giving an extra mark was informed to all the examination centers before the test concluded.
DU authorities also said admission seekers, who mistakenly filled up their answer sheets before knowing the paper fiasco, were also provided with fresh answer sheets.
The hour-long examination began at about 10:00am.
This year, a total of 42,147 candidates vied for 1,250 seats under the unit.
However, no calculator, mobile phone or electronic device allowed in the examination hall like every year.
