Dhaka: The human chain programme scheduled to be held on Tuesday in all educational institutions across Bangladesh protesting the recent violence against women was postponed.

Besides, the awareness meeting which was scheduled to be held on October 20 in the educational institutions was also postponed.

The Education Ministry has announced the postponement of the programmes on Monday.

The fresh date for the human chain programme and the meeting will be announced later.

Earlier, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid on October 8 announced the human chain programme and awareness meeting in all the educational institutions across the country at a press briefing in the capital.
