38 students to vie for one seat in RU admission test
Rajshahi: Some 38 students will have to vie for one seat in the admission test for 2016-17 academic session in Rajshahi University (RU) this year scheduled to be held from October 24 to 27.
AHM Aslam Hossain, deputy registrar (academic) of RU, told the journalists that the entry test will be held for 56 Departments under nine units and two institutions.
The exams will be held from 9:00am to 4:30pm in four shifts every day. A total of 1,78,949 students have submitted application forms against 4,713 seats including quota.
As a result, 38 students will fight for each seat. Only the students, who passed HSC examinations in 2016, will take part in the admission test.
Application forms were received through online system from last September 18 to October 2. Seat plans were kept visible in seven places in the campus.
Besides, there will four help desks and the students can contact with them for any necessary purpose.

Meanwhile, the university authority has adopted some special measures including restriction on plying of motor vehicles for the sake of maintaining peaceful situation during holding the test in the campus.
No one will be allowed to enter into the campus with bags. Only the admission-seekers will be allowed to the academic buildings.
Carrying and using of electronic devices including mobile phone has been totally prohibited in the examination halls.
