Dhaka: The teachers and students of Government and Politics department of Jahangirnagar University on Sunday bestowed honour to of their former teachers.

Professor M Salimullah Khan and Professor Zahura Khanam were accorded in a function held at the departments’ auditorium on the campus.

Chairman of the department Shamsunnahar Khanam presided over the function while acting dean of Social Science faculty Professor Sheikh Manzurul Haque, Professors of the department Al Masud Hasanuzzaman, Nasim Akhter Hossain, Abdul Latif Masum, Abdul Mannan, Naim Sultan and Shamsul Alam Selim and Associate Professor Bashir Ahmed addressed, among others.

Speakers at the function recalled the contributions of the two former teachers in academic and research fields and wished them a happy, prosperous and long life.
