PSC, Ebtedayee exams kick off

This year’s Primary School Certificate (PSC) and Ebtedayee terminal examinations began on Sunday across the country.
Over 32 lakh students from schools and madrasahs were registered to sit for the examinations, which will end on November 27, reports UNB.
Some 2, 857 students with special needs from schools and 90 others from madrasahs are appearing at the examinations.
The examinations started from 11:00am and will end at 1:30pm.
However, the students with special needs will get additional 20 minutes.
The examinations were held in 7,194 centres, including 11 overseas ones, simultaneously.
As per the directives of the Ministry, all the 64 districts were divided as eight special segments to curb the question paper leakage.
The Primary and Ebtedayee exams will be held with separate eight set questions.
Besides, control room has been opened at the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education and at the Directorate of the Primary Education.
