Dhaka: A two-day "Dhaka University (DU) Festival" will begin at Rabindra Bharati University (RBU) in Kolkata on Friday.  

DU and RBU jointly organized the festival between December 16 and 17 while DU Vice-Chancellor Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique is expected to inaugurate the function, a DU press release said on Friday.  

Chairman of DU Dance department Professor Rezwana Choudhury and Chairman of DU Music department Professor Mrs. Mohsina Akhter Khanom (Lina Taposhi) along with teachers and students of duo departments have already left Dhaka for Kolkata on December 14 to take part the occasion, the release added.  

The Music department will present folk song and country song on first day of the festivaol while Dance department will stage drama "Sonai Madhab" at the last day of the occasion, it said.
