Bangladeshi students to get ICCR Scholarships
As in the past, the High Commission of India, Dhaka announced the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) Scholarships for the academic session 2017-18.
The scholarships will be awarded to meritorious Bangladeshi students to pursue various courses in India at the Under Graduate, Post Graduate and PhD level, except in Medicine. Around 3000 ICCR Scholarships have been granted to Bangladeshis by the Government of India till date.
Candidates who wish to apply for the scholarships are required to have proficiency in English and should have secured a minimum of 60 per cent marks or a GPA of 3 out of 5 in the qualifying examination.
Application forms for these scholarships along with detailed information / instructions regarding the same may be seen and downloaded from the website of the High Commission of India, Dhaka.
Candidates should download and fill (typed and not handwritten), the application form, affix scanned copy of photo, sign (scan of hand-written signatures), data sheet and e-mail the same as a pdf document along with relevant attachments to one of the following e-mail addresses for eligibility screening of applications and subsequent EPT by the respective
The deadline for submitting the application forms by email is 5:00pm on 31 December.
An English Proficiency Test (EPT) will be conducted for eligible applicants at tentatively on 13 January. The English Proficiency Test will be held in batches from 11:00am onwards at all three locations and the duration of each test is 30 minutes.
Applicants who qualify for the interview are advised to bring one hard copy of the application form with supporting documents (duly certified), at the time of interview and the finally selected candidates have to submit six sets of the same with duly certified supporting documents.
