Dhaka: A two-day international conference on terrorism will begin at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban in Dhaka University on Saturday.

DU Criminology Department is organising the conference, said Prof Dr Zia Rahman, chair of the department.

Inspector General of Police AKM Shahidul Hoque will be present at the opening session on Saturday as the chief guest while Dutch Ambassador Leoni Margaretha Cuelenaere as a special guest with DU Vice-chancellor Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique in the chair.

Director General of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Benazir Ahmed will preside over the concluding session on Sunday.

Over 50 researchers, teachers, judges and development workers will participate in the conference.
