UIU Social Services Club organises ‘Minds of Society 2017’
United International University Social Services Club will organise an inter-university competition ‘Minds of Society 2017’, which incorporates fieldwork.
This fieldwork part will incentivise the students to see and realise the actual scenario and come up with an effective solution to reduce the impact of these problems, says a press release.
The upcoming event will feature some sensitive social issues such as autism, child labour, domestic violence and transgender.
‘We want to convey the message to the individuals of our society that the outlook towards these problems can be changed simply changing our thought process,’ says the press release.
‘An autistic child is not a burden to the parents and the society. They are special and with proper care and training, they can do better than any normal child. We have to stop child labour in order to build a strong nation, as they are the future leaders of our nation. We have to make people realise the negative impact of domestic violence in their own lives and why we should change our outlook towards transgender.’
The last of Registration is 31 January 2017.
