Dhaka: Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) has suspended four of its Dhaka University unit activists for beating some students during the Saraswati Puja celebrations on the campus.

The suspended BCL men are Abhijeet, Anik, Ashok and Palash.

BCL president Saifur Rahman Sohag told UNB on Friday that they took the action against the four BCL activists and issued a show-cause notice on another one over the incident.

Five students of DU Mass Communication and Journalism Department were injured as some BCL men attacked them at Jagannath Hall during the Saraswati Puja celebrations on Wednesday.
