SSC, equivalent exams results handed over to PM

Dhaka: Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid handed over copies of the results of this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday morning.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina received the result at about 10:00am at her official Ganobhaban residence.
The education minister will formally announce the results at a press briefing at his office at about 1:00pm.
After 1:00pm, examinees started getting their results from their respective centres, websites of their respective boards or from mobile phones through SMS.
This year, 17,86,613 students—9,10,501 boys and 8,76,112 girls—participated in the examinations.
Of them, 14,25,900 students appeared in the SSC examination under eight general education boards. Some 2,56,501 students participated in the Dakhil examinations while 1,04,212 students attended in the SSC vocational examinations.
