Dhaka: The orientation programme for the first year bachelor students of the Faculty of Business Studies of Dhaka University (DU) was held at TSC auditorium of the university on Sunday. 

DU Vice-Chancellor Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique was present as the chief guest at the function organised by the Students Counseling and Guidance Office of DU.

Director of the Students Counseling and Guidance Office Professor Shaheen Islam presided over the function, while DU Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof Shahid Akhtar Hossain and Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies Prof Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam addressed it as special guests.

The vice-chancellor in his speech urged the students to come forward with moral values of leadership to make Bangladesh a developed and peaceful country. 

He said students will have to utilize their time properly to make themselves worthy citizens. "They will have to nurture their latent talents and project it," the VC added. 

Prof Siddique also called upon the students to become visionary in their dreams for achieving big goals and overcoming the enormous challenges in life.
