Dhaka: Accounting & Information Systems (AIS) department of Dhaka University (DU) has recently launched a new academic programme titled 'Master of Accountancy in Taxation'.

Under the two-year long programme, students will be provided knowledge about taxation system, financial planner and tax consultancy, said programme director Prof Dr Mizanur Rahman at a press conference at Sagor-Runi Auditorium of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) in the capital on Thursday.

DU AIS department and Capital Market Journalist Forum (CMJF) jointly organised the press conference.

Every student will have to pay Tk 2,50,000 for Master's Programme.

Interested candidates must have Bachelor degree in Accounting, Business, Law and Economics with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 in the scale of 4.00 to enroll in the course, Mizanur added.
