Dhaka: Pre-primary assistant teachers’ recruitment test will be held in 17 districts on 28 August, for appointment in government primary schools.

‘As many as 50,765 candidates will sit for the test in 17 districts. The test will be held from 3:00pm to 4:20pm on 28 August, Rabindra Ray, public relations officer at the Primary and Mass Education Ministry said.

The 17 districts are Panchagarh, Joypurhat, Gazipur, Manikganj, Narayanganj, Rajbari, Madaripur, Pirojpur, Jhalokathi, Barguna, Bhola, Bagerhat, Chuadanga, Magura, Sherpur, Laxmipur and Cox’s Bazar.

Earlier on 27 June this year, the test was held in five districts - Meherpur, Narail, Shariatpur, Munshiganj and Feni, Ray noted.

A total of 9,71,608 candidates from 61 of the country’s 64 districts (except three Chittagong Hill Tracts districts) applied to sit for the test this year, he said.

This year, the test is being held in phases across the country to prevent question paper leakage.
