HSC results today
Dhaka: The results of this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations will be published on Sunday.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid along with the chairmen of all the education boards will hand over copies of the results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Ganobhaban at about 10:00am.
Later, the minister will formally announce the results at a press conference at his ministry at about 1:00pm, said Education Ministry senior information officer M Saifullah on Saturday.
The examinees will get the results from their centres, education board websites and cellphones through SMS shortly after the press conference. The results will also be available on the website: http://www.educationboardresults.gov.bd
A total of 1,073,884 students from 8,305 educational institutions under 10 boards, including one madrasah and another technical board, were enrolled to appear in the examinations this year. Of them, 570,993 students are boys and 502,891 are girls.
Some 10,196 students skipped the exam on the first day. Besides, about 700 candidates were expelled for adopting unfair means in the examinations.
The examinations were held at 2,419 centres across the country.
