Cancellation of medical admission test results demanded
Dhaka: Admission seekers on Sunday staged protests demanding cancellation of the results of the admission tests of MBBS and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) as they claimed that question papers of the tests were leaked.
A group of students under the banner of ‘Students Seeking Admission in Public Medical Colleges’ formed a human chain in front of Jatiya Press Club in Dhaka in the morning protesting the question papers leak.
Later, the students threatened to go for tougher programmers from a press conference held near the Press Club demanding fresh admission tests for admission to the medical and dental colleges.
Meanwhile, a Supreme Court lawyer filed the writ petition with the High Court on Sunday seeking its directive on the government to cancel the admission test of MBBS and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) 2015-16 claming that the question papers were leaked.
State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Jahid Malek announced the results of MBBS and BDS admission with a pass rate of 58.4 percent at a press briefing at the Health Ministry conference room today.
