UC polls violence: Jessore bullet-hit man dies at DMCH
Jessore: A young man, who sustained bullet injuries in a clash during the second phase union council election at Tekhati village in Jessore on Monday, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Saturday morning, reports UNB.
Iqbal Hossain, 28, son of Azizur Rahman of the village, succumbed to his injures at the hospital in the morning, said Kotwali police officer-in-charge Ilias Hossain.
Iqbal was caught in the line of fire and sustained bullet injuries during a clash between two groups at the village on Monday.
He was first taken to Jessore Medical College Hospital and later shifted to the DMCH on Tuesday as his condition deteriorated.
