Dhaka: A flag hoisting ceremony was held at the new chancery complex of the High Commission of India in Dhaka, Bangladesh on Monday, marking the 70th Independence Day of India.

After unfurling the tricolour, High Commissioner Harsh Vardhan Shringla read out Indian President Pranab Mukherjee’s message to the nation.

Around 300 Indians, including members of the Indian community and High Commission officials, were present on the occasion.
