Dhaka: Bangladesh government has appointed Mohammad Ruhul Alam Siddique as Bangladesh’s next Ambassador to Portugal.

He is currently working as Director General (East Asia & Pacific Wing) at the Foreign Ministry.

In his career, he served as Minister in the Bangladesh High Commission, New Delhi before his assignment as the Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Karachi. He also served in Bangladesh Embassy in Berlin and Bangladesh High Commission in Singapore in different capacities.

Earlier, he served in the ministry in different capacities in Europe, Americas and Pacific, UN, South Asia and Administration wings, said an official release on Tuesday.
