David Lynch's new installment of the cult series "Twin Peaks" is rumored to have a new cast member in the form of Robert Knepper.

The "Prison Break" actor is set to join fellow newcomer Amanda Seyfried on the highly-anticipated new project, Deadlinereports.

Kyle MacLachlan, who starred in the original series in the 1990s, will return in the role of his character, Dale Cooper, and many other cast members are also expected to reappear.

Created in 1990 by David Lynch and Mark Frost, "Twin Peaks" quickly became a cult classic due to its blend of surrealism and suspense. The third season could air as early as 2016 on Showtime.
