‘Stranger Things,’ ‘Deadpool,’ ‘Moana’ Among ACE Eddie Awards Nominees

American Cinema Editors (ACE) on 3 January announced nominations for the 67th Annual ACE Eddie Awards recognizing outstanding editing in ten categories of film, television and documentaries. Winners will be revealed during ACE’s annual black-tie awards ceremony on Friday, January 27, 2017 in the International Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel and will be presided over by ACE President, Stephen Rivkin.
All three of the awards season’s strongest players in the film categories are ‘La La Land,’ ‘Moonlight’ and ‘Manchester by the Sea.’ On the other side Denis Villeneuve’s alien invasion psychodrama ‘Arrival,’ Mel Gibson’s World War II epic ‘Hacksaw Ridge,’ and David Mackenzie’s indie darling ‘Hell or High Water’ fill out the drama category.
Joining ‘La La Land’ there are ‘Deadpool,’’Hail, Caesar!’, ‘The Jungle Book,’ ‘The Lobster,’ Yorgos Lanthimos’ etc.
