Dhaka: Popular music label, Ganchill, which had been inactive for 4 years has re-launched on 11June 2015 with Asif er Kothay Moon er Gaan—a series of new songs rendered live. 

Ganchill, which was founded by renowned musicians Naquib Khan, Kumar Bishwajit, Asif Iqbal and Reza of Renaissance, has been relaunched by its chairman, celebrated fashion designer Afsana Asif.

A hundred and fifty guests from corporate houses, the musical fraternity and the media were present during the event.

The re-launch event introduced the new Gaanchill to the audience followed by a musical soiree. The music focused more on a mature audience of music enthusiasts and audiophiles; the unreleased songs were sung by one of the most talented singers of the generation, Moon.

The songs written by Asif Iqbal, eminent lyricist whose attention cantered on the insightful, the philosophical and the romantic. The unique single style of Moon and Asif Iqbal’s poem recitation with enactment mesmerized the audience.

Gaanchill was founded with the promise of inspiring new talents; it started as a platform for Close-up 1 and Khude Gaanraaj singers, and established them in the industry.
