Dhaka: Prominent singer Farida Yasmin died on Saturday at the Birdem Hospital in Dhaka due to old age complications.

According to family members, Farida Yasmin was admitted to Birdem hospital two weeks ago. Her body will be kept in the Birdem mortuary today. She will be buried at the Banani graveyard after her janaza at her residence in Shegunbagicha on Sunday.

Farida Yasmin was born in Satkhira. Two prominent singers Nilufar Yasmin and Sabina Yasmin are her younger sisters.
